IQ Visoturb The IQ Sensor Net system is a digital controller allowing multiple sensor connection including the Visoturb sensor, providing in-situ determination of turbidity & suspended solids. The Visoturb system uses the very latest digital measurement technology to reliably report the turbidity concentrations without the need for user calibrations. Each individual sensor is factory calibrated under specific conditions.

The calibration profile covers four measurement ranges to 4,000NTU over which the sensor can auto-scale and therefore enables optimum measurement performance over a dynamic measurement range. Reference measurements are used to maintain the sensor performance over it's working life and produce fault diagnostic such as bubble interference or light obscuration caused by ragging. The use of infra-red frequencies is in compliance with the ISO 7027 standard and guards against false measurement through colour absorption, which may be present in waste water applications. The continuous ultrasonic cleaning is used to automatically maintain the sensor and for the most challenging of applications, compressed air cleaning may also be simply incorporated.

IQ Visoturb The sensor is designed for direct insertion into an effluent chamber but can also be installed in a breaktank to monitor pumped samples or using a variety of fittings to provide flow through measurement or pipe insertion.

IQ Visoturb Various controller configurations are available for allowing up to twenty sensor connections and a variety of interfaces including PROFIBUS communications. The controllers are rated to IP66 and can be mounted directly in the field or within small secondary enclosures to allow a standard installation. The technology has been widely installed and is complimented by an extensive range of digital sensors for many other key waste water determinants such as ammonium, nitrate, MLSS and pH allowing a unified approach across the site.
