Terminator - PIG

Product Literature
Terminator

The Terminator is an automatic abatement system - PIG used to contain contamination, on detection of pollution. It is inexpensive to purchase, simple to install and reliable in operation. It may also be used as a temporary seal to plug a pipe during routine maintenance.

A SIMPLE RELIABLE DESIGN
The system utilises a special bladder manufactured and patented by envirovalve™, which is pre-installed within a discharge pipe. The bladder automatically inflates using compressed air when water pollution is detected, allowing containment and remedial action to be taken. Alternatively, the drainage system can be designed to divert the pollution over a weir, into a holding tank for subsequent treatment. The Terminator is therefore an ideal low cost, self-contained solution, to arrest flow wherever there is a risk of contamination affecting local watercourses. It’s simplicity allows for simple installation avoiding expensive civil engineering costs.

EXTERNALLY TRIGGERED
It may be automatically triggered from any on-line monitor generating a volt-free alarm output. Typical water quality parameters would be pH, Turbidity, or Total Organic Carbon - TOC.

SIMPLE TO OPERATE
The surface mounted enclosure provides local indication when the bladder has been inflated. Additional alarms also indicated when there is insufficient pressure available to maintain or inflate the device. Push button control is also provided to manually inflate and deflate the bladder. It is recommended that the system be manually activated to ensure it performs satisfactorily, at least on a weekly interval.
