Featured product: IQ ammolytplus
direct ammonium probe measurement

IQ ammolytplusThe IQ Sensor Net system is a digital controller allowing multiple sensor connection including the ammolytplus armature providing direct determination of ammoniacal-nitrogen. The submersible probe technology is ideally suited to controlling activated sludge processes and has also been widely installed on effluent discharges to provide continuous measurement.

  • Robust stainless steel construction
  • Automatic compressed air cleaning
  • Option for potassium measurement
  • Digital interfacing over long distances
  • Fast response
  • Low maintenance
  • Low purchase price
  • Multiple sensors including Nitrate, DO & MLSS

The system uses the very latest measurement technology to reliably report the ammonium concentration without the need for sample preparation. The determination of nitrate within the same armature may also be incorporated.

To prevent biological fouling, the IQ controller automatically sequences compressed air cleaning. Three nozzles direct a blast of air across the face of the individual sensors. The output signals are held during and after the cleaning process.

PPM has engineered a small secondary enclosure to contain the instrumentation including a compact compressor to maintain a standard configuration and simplify the installation.

IQ ammolytplus

Many successful installations throughout the UK prove testament to the quality of this product. The design concept has considered the best and most cost effective approach to provide the monitoring and control of activated sludge processes.

The ability to measure the ammonium concentration at the feed to the aerobic digestor enables feed forward control of aeration processes and improved aeration control. Additional monitors may also be positioned to further optmise the treatment process providing feed back control and compliance monitoring of discharges, to receiving waters.
